Nian Gao Sourdough
Our Nian Gao Sourdough is made using traditional Ipoh-crafted nian gao, gently folded into naturally leavened sourdough and infused with aromatic mandarin peel.
As the bread ferments slowly, the natural sweetness of nian gao melts into the dough, while mandarin peel adds a subtle citrus lift and gentle bitterness, creating depth and balance. The result is a loaf with a soft, slightly chewy crumb, delicate caramel notes, and a clean, fragrant finish—familiar yet refreshingly refined.
